Mark O’Brien is Head of Education and Policy Evaluation at the University of Liverpool. He has conducted evaluation research into the key priority areas of widening participation, student experience and community engagement. His recent research has looked at the impact of bursaries on student outcomes, the impact of outreach work to local schools and the problem of sexual harassment amongst students. He is the co-author of Just Managing? What it Means for the Families of Austerity Britain (Open Book Publishers, 2017).
